High-quality textile printing with the Secabo TS7 Swing press
Swing presses are invaluable tools in textile printing. We’d like to introduce you to the Secabo TS7 swing press and explain the benefits it offers.
A transfer press is a popular tool when it comes to transferring custom designs onto a wide variety of materials. Transfer presses are most commonly used in textile printing. This is why they are also referred to as textile presses. Anyone looking for a suitable machine for their textile transfers will be overwhelmed by the sheer number of products available on the market. However, swing presses remain particularly popular. In the YOW! online shop, the Secabo TS7 Swing Press has proved to be the undisputed bestseller. We’ll explain how the machine works and what advantages it offers over conventional clamshell presses.

What is a heat transfer press?
A heat transfer press is a heat-press machine. As the name suggests, it uses heat and pressure to transfer a design onto an object. The most common transfer objects are a wide variety of textiles such as T-shirts and jumpers, but also caps, blankets and towels. Even mugs, balls and key rings can be printed on easily with the right transfer press. Depending on the material to be printed, a different contact pressure is required to ensure successful textile printing. The temperature must also be adjusted accordingly. Different transfer presses are particularly well suited to different materials. The most common types are clamshell presses and swing-arm presses. Both models are particularly suitable for textile printing.
What are the benefits of a swing press?
The swing press is very popular in the promotional printing industry. It is a heat press featuring a swivelling heating plate. This offers significant advantages over the standard clamshell press. As the hinged press is simply folded down onto the material to be printed using a lever, it is particularly suitable for thinner textiles such as T-shirts. With a swing press, printing on thicker materials such as jumpers and jackets is no problem at all. Here, the heating plate closes parallel to the base plate, resulting in greater contact pressure and a more even distribution of heat. The result is high-quality textile prints that are generally more durable and withstand more washes than textiles printed using a clamshell press. Although swing presses are usually slightly more expensive than clamshell presses, you can look forward to a reliable and particularly versatile product with a wide range of applications. Both flex and flock films are suitable for textile printing with a swing press.
The Secabo TS7 Swing Press
In the YOW! online shop, you’ll find a range of swing-away transfer presses, all of which enable comfortable and flexible working. The TS7 swingaway transfer press from Secabo has proven particularly effective; with its automatic opening and swing-away mechanism, it ensures exceptional ease of use. With a working surface measuring 40cm x 50cm, even larger designs can be easily transferred onto the objects. You can adjust the temperature of the heating plate and the pressing time via a digital controller. With a maximum temperature of 225°C, the heating plate has a high heat capacity and is therefore also suitable for a high throughput of transfers.
Maximum safety is always ensured for the user. A protective plate installed above the heating plate protects against burns. The digital display allows the user to keep a constant eye on the set target and actual values. It is also possible to interrupt the pressing process at any time at the touch of a button. This can be extremely helpful, for example, when pre-pressing textiles. The Secabo TS7 can be expanded with a quick-change system for replacement plates of various sizes. Installation is incredibly simple, making it possible to change base plates in a matter of seconds during production. This makes transfer printing a breeze, even with high production volumes!
