Printing T-shirts more efficiently and consistently – here’s how to optimise your workflow with Kreuzlaser!
Find out how you can use cross-line lasers to optimise your textile printing processes and ensure consistency. Discover the simple design and modularity of Secabo cross-line lasers.
If you finish textiles in large batches, you will have optimised your work processes into a well-thought-out routine. Both the positioning of the machines and consumables, and the sequence of steps have become established and help to increase efficiency and speed. However, reproducibility also plays a major role, and this is often a time-consuming task due to the fiddly positioning of the textiles in the press. Using children’s T-shirts for a local fun run as an example, we’ll show you how cross-line lasers can help you work faster and more accurately, enabling you to optimise your workflow even further.

A well-thought-out structure is essential
To print T-shirts quickly and efficiently, a second heat transfer press is highly recommended. This allows two T-shirts to be printed on the front and back at the same time, thereby reducing the number of steps involved.
In our case, we set up the Secabo TC7 SMART for the front and the Secabo TS7 SMART for the back, side by side. To ensure that the logos and names are positioned identically on all T-shirts, the alignment of the fabric and the design must be spot on. This alignment is a laborious and error-prone process that unnecessarily slows down the workflow.
The Secabo Modular cross lasers achieve what you cannot do by eye: pinpoint placement of the T-shirt in the press, as well as that of the designs on the fabric. In our case, a laser cross is aligned so that it marks the position of the bottom seam. Collars, sleeves or breast pockets can also serve as reference points. All subsequent shirts are then aligned accordingly. The second cross laser marks the edge of the design, thereby ensuring optimal reproducibility of the print.
We have implemented this setup for both the front and back so that two T-shirts can be printed simultaneously.

Simple design and modularity to optimise the workflow
Thanks to its simple design and the easy-to-use laser adjustment system, the Secabo Modular Cross Laser is also ideal for beginners. The modular system allows for expansion with any number of lasers. This means that multiple designs can be positioned on the fabric, as well as the fabric itself.
To ensure flexible use with any press and in any environment, the cross lasers are available as single-and double-table versions with two 500 mm rods each, as well as a floor-standing version with four 500 mm rods. The number of rods (which are also available in 300 mm lengths) can be increased, allowing for flexible height adjustment. For transfer presses with quick-change mechanisms, such as the TS7 SMART, the quick-change version is ideal. Thanks to the included Accessory Holder, the cross laser can be attached directly to the press and, for example, expanded to include the practical storage tray, the Secabo Storage Tray . This is ideal for storing transfers, plots or small tools.
Efficient T-shirt printing – it’s all down to the workflow!
Consistency is absolutely essential when it comes to team shirts, jerseys or large quantities of identical shirts. This can be supported and optimised using one or more cross-line lasers. Combined with a well-planned layout of your production line, your workflow can be optimised even further. The resulting time savings have a direct impact on your productivity and, consequently, your profitability – and that’s never a bad thing, is it?
Incidentally, in the YOW! Shop, alongside cross lasers, plotters, heat presses and consumables, you’ll also find a huge range of items for adults and children – from football shirts to work trousers, we’ve got it all!
