Sticking together means keeping your distance!

First and foremost, we need to stick together. Secondly, you must make sure to follow the rules set out for this and encourage others to get involved too.

Today’s blog post is a bit different, because, as you know, we’re currently in a difficult situation. The whole world is affected by the so-called coronavirus. So naturally, the question arises: how can we still get our daily lives back on track during these times? First of all, we need to stick together. Secondly, you must make sure to follow the rules that have been put in place. And that brings us straight to today’s topic: sticking together means keeping your distance!

Say it with a T-shirt!

Right now, one thing is of the utmost importance: keeping your distance! It’s particularly important to maintain social distancing in places where lots of people gather. Whether you’re out shopping, going for a walk or travelling on public transport, a friendly reminder to others is always a good idea. That’s why we’ve come up with a lovely, custom-designed T-shirt that’s not only meant to raise awareness but also to appeal to people. So whether you’re a private individual, work for an organisation or in the retail sector, this is naturally a practical solution. A message like this on a T-shirt is a polite yet clear way of reminding people to keep their distance. It’s important that we all make sure not to get too close to others wherever possible – maintaining a safe distance protects us all! That’s why our current motto is ‘Sticking together means keeping our distance!’

For this step, you’ll need a T-shirt – chosen entirely to your own taste – which you’ll want to customise later. We’ve opted for a red flex film, as it really stands out. You might find some suitable films for your shirt here. Now use DrawCut to plot the design that looks coolest to you. Next, weed the film. After that, you can press the design onto the T-shirt using a Secabo transfer press. We did this at 165°C for 20 seconds. Please peel off the film immediately after pressing. In this case, there’s no need to let it cool down. Just press it again for a few seconds and you’re done!

Let’s move on to the rules sign…

To further curb the spread of infection, changes in behaviour in our daily interactions are necessary. That is why it is now particularly important to use signs and stickers to raise awareness in businesses and public institutions.

A sign template like the one we have designed here is certainly a great help too

  • for businesses and public authorities
  • for supermarkets
  • for pharmacies and chemists
  • for nurseries, schools and other institutions

You’ll need a clean surface to stick the design onto later. We’ve plotted the sign once in English using red self-adhesive film, and once in German using black self-adhesive film. It’s up to you to decide which one to use and how many colours you’d like. To make things clearer, we’ve added the relevant symbols at the front of each one. This adds the finishing touch.

Start by plotting out your rules. Very important: DO NOT mirror the design! Once you’ve weeded the vinyl, you can cover the letters with a transfer film. This makes it easier to transfer the letters onto the surface. A quick tip: Cut out all the rules individually to make it easier to apply the transfer film. To speed up the process, simply take three sets at a time, place them close together and cut them apart again after applying the film. Always press firmly with the squeegee. In the final step, you can peel off the transfer films. All the letters and symbols should come away with them. Now they can be stuck onto the surface. Run the squeegee over them again and peel off the film. Done!

Large plots that you can simply stick to the floor

To provide professional information, create an eye-catching reminder or spark a positive conversation, we’ve used an eye-catching red self-adhesive film here. It’s simply a real eye-catcher. And just as with the previous topic, plot out the appropriate design, weed it, cover it with transfer film, peel off the film, stick it onto the surface and peel off the transfer film again. Don’t forget the squeegee! If you spot any bubbles, simply prick them with a needle and smooth them out with a suitable sponge. Now we’re all done with the final step.

Today, as part of our ‘Stick Together – Keep Your Distance’ series, we’ve got another great idea for you. Large decals that you can simply stick to the floor.
