Print your own sports balls – with the STAHLS Sports Ball Heat Press
Sports balls make ideal promotional items. With the Sports Ball Heat Press, you can easily print on them yourself – now available at YOW!
From football to basketball and tennis – all over the world, various ball sports enjoy huge popularity. In Germany, it is above all football that captivates young and old alike and draws people onto the grass pitch several times a week. And yet, all eyes are focused on one thing above all else: the ball. This makes sports balls ideal advertising media. With the STAHLS Sports Ball Heat Press, you’ll soon be able to print on them yourself with ease.
Print your advertising on sports balls
With their large surface area, sports balls are ideal promotional items on which there is plenty of space for your logo, ensuring it gets noticed. If you feature your promotional message on balls at sporting events, charity fundraisers or trade fairs, it will attract significantly more attention than a standard leaflet and noticeably boost your company’s appeal. Clubs also benefit from having sports balls printed themselves. As well as the club’s name and logo, you can, for example, print a player’s number on them; the personalised ball can then be presented to a loyal club member on a special occasion. Thanks to modern technology, printing is incredibly simple and can easily be done by you yourself – using the Sports Ball Heat Press.
The Sports Ball Heat Press
The Sports Ball Heat Press is suitable for printing on all inflatable sports balls. As well as footballs, you can also easily customise basketballs and handballs with your own logo or design. The transfer press is even suitable for printing on baseballs. The adjustable ball-holding system ensures that the press can be individually adapted to the shape of each ball. The serpentine-shaped heating element guarantees that the entire print is transferred to the surface of the ball, preventing any gaps from forming accidentally.
Printing on sports balls yourself – here’s how
Step 1: Adjust the pressure
To apply your chosen design to a ball, you must first adjust the Sports Ball Heat Press to the correct size. To do this, release the small lever on the right-hand side of the base plate until it can be moved. Then place the ball on the base plate and press the press down until it makes contact with the ball. You have achieved the correct pressure when the gap between the handle and the magnetic knob on top of the heating element is about two fingers’ width. Close the lever on the base plate again. It will click audibly into place when the base plate returns to the desired fixed position.
Step 2: Stick on the design
You can now stick the transfer sheet onto the ball in the desired position. Make sure that the design lies completely flat and does not crease. This is the only way to ensure the print turns out perfectly. For this reason, we recommend a maximum transfer size of 4 x 10 cm.
Step 3: Transfer the design
Now it’s time for the actual transfer. A temperature of 113°C is suitable for all balls, and you can easily set this using the digital temperature display. The low temperature is important to avoid damaging delicate plastics or imitation leather. You can also easily set the time yourself using the digital display. For all sports balls, select eight seconds here. Once you have made all the settings, press down the handle of the Sports Ball Heat Press. A steady beeping sound will let you know that the press is working. Once the eight seconds are up, it will open automatically. For basketballs, due to their dimpled surface, we recommend pressing them again for a further five seconds on the Grip rubber mat.
Wait a short while before peeling off the transfer film – and you’ll soon be holding your personalised sports ball in your hands!
