The Easter season really gets craft lovers’ hearts racing! And as we’re no different, we’d like to share our latest creations with you today – we’ve chosen ‘Champagne breakfast on Easter Sunday’ as our theme and drawn inspiration from the latest interior design trends. With very little effort and a bit of creativity, we’ve conjured up a lovely Easter table. Above all, we’re always delighted when we can use items we already have at home – or even upcycle them.

We hope you’ll find a few ideas here!

Subtle and sophisticated prints for textiles

Tablecloths don’t always have to be covered in patterns: sometimes a subtle and well-chosen print is enough to create an even more beautiful effect. In our case, we opted for a delicate rabbit motif, which we positioned on its own in one corner. The design was plotted using the Secabo T60II. The SEF FlexCut in black is an absolute classic here; it’s easy to heat-press and adheres brilliantly to all fabrics. This is a cold-peel film, so after heat-pressing with the Secabo TC7 SMART, you should wait a moment to avoid unsightly tears or peeling.

We’ve used the same design on a fabric bag. It’s perfect for going on treasure hunts – whether it’s through the garden at home in search of the Easter Bunny’s hidden treats or simply when popping to the market. And why not add a little message on the inside too?

Personalised upcycling – small decorations using self-adhesive film

We all have them at home:

  • old flower pots
  • empty glass jars
  • or wooden crates

So why not use things you already have to adapt your decorations to the season? We gathered everything together and plotted a few little Easter designs using the Secabo T60II. We then transferred these onto the containers using Ritrama M300 all-purpose film in matt black. Pop in some flowers, fill them with chocolate eggs and place the bunny inside – and voilà, you’ve created charming decorative pieces that breathe new life into old, disused items. What’s more, they can be redecorated for the next occasion!

Please note that with curved surfaces (as in our case with the screw-top jars), you should stick the designs carefully onto the cleaned glass surfaces and apply the film carefully from the inside out using a squeegee. It takes a bit of practice, but the result is definitely worth it!

Personalised candles – lovely decorations and a great gift for guests

Decorating candles is one of THE most popular DIY trends on social media platforms. We couldn’t resist giving it a go either, and made little gifts for our Easter breakfast guests. The Ritrama M300 self-adhesive film in matt black is incredibly easy to apply to the smooth surface of the candle and creates a fantastic effect! But please note – the PVC film should, of course, be peeled off as soon as the candle has burnt down to about half its length.

They don’t always have to be nests: paper rabbit parcels

We’ve used our latest favourite machine, the YOW! CraftY Cutter with Wi-Fi, to plot these cute little bunny parcels. With the cutting mat included and its super-simple operation, nothing stands in the way of your creative endeavours!

Thanks to its ease of use and extensive range of features, the CraftY is ideal for beginners, but its superb quality standards also make it a great choice as a second machine in the showroom! Some of its fantastic features include, amongst others

  • 🎥 Camera with automatic contour cropping function
  • ⏱ Genuine USB, no driver installation required
  • 📱 Large touchscreen menu
  • 🔎 Precise cutting even with small fonts

Due to high demand, the CraftY is now also available in three different starter boxes – containing everything you need for textile embellishment, foil application, or both.

Once you’ve finished plotting, all you need to do is thread a pretty raffia ribbon through the holes and you’ll have some lovely little gift parcels to surprise your loved ones with. So why just give a nest when you could give a homemade bunny parcel instead?

We hope you like our ideas for crafting and getting creative! And we’d love to see some lovely photos of your creations – feel free to tag us on Instagram!
