Features of LAPOS

Secabo’s LAPOS function is an indispensable addition to your Secabo cutting plotter. Whilst the standard DrawCut software is responsible for creating registration marks, score lines and graphic layouts, as well as controlling the cutting plotter, LAPOS reads these in, thereby enabling precise laser positioning and the cutting of contours. In this way, the software enables the precise cutting of a wide variety of materials and is therefore highly versatile for your individual cutting projects.

How the LAPOS contour cutting function works

With the help of the professional LAPOS registration mark recognition, individual graphics can be cut out with precise contour accuracy, even when positioned unfavourably. To do this, first print the desired design onto the adhesive film. Instead of cutting contours, you set registration marks and then load the film into the plotter. Thanks to the integrated LAPOS laser technology, the cutting head now recognises the set registration marks and can use them to determine the precise cutting contours. The motif is then cut out with a perfect fit. The programme imposes no limitations, allowing you to cut out every conceivable shape, including free-form shapes.

As it is capable of recognising up to four registration marks simultaneously, the cutting is particularly accurate. Typical problems such as misaligned cuts – which can occur, for example, if the material is positioned incorrectly on the cutting bed – are thus eliminated right from the start. This is particularly advantageous when producing larger batches, as there is no need to spend time and effort positioning the objects on the cutting table beforehand.
