Tips for the professional finishing of towels
Due to the loop structure (pile) of terry towelling, finishing towels requires the right expertise and equipment from Y-O-W:
- Embroidery on towelling: To prevent fine details from sinking into the pile, you should definitely use a water-soluble embroidery stabiliser on the top. This guarantees a clean embroidery pattern.
- Printing on borders: Use a Secabo Heat Press with a thermal levelling pad to even out the difference in height between the thick terry towelling and the flat border. This allows you to achieve an even contact pressure for your transfers.
- Sublimation on special fabrics: For photorealistic motifs, we offer towels with a polyester content in the border that are perfect for sublimation printing.
